On the Atlantic coast, the city of Dakhla is located on a 40 km long peninsula which forms the Rio de Oro Bay. A true haven of peace between the lagoon and the ocean, Dakhla is located about 400km from the Mauritanian border, at the southern gateway to the Moroccan Sahara.
